The Program Coordinator provides management for an education, research &/or operations program/project, recommending goals, assessing feasibility and ongoing performance & providing day-to-day oversight of administrative & operational functions.
To facilitate the development, growth and coordination of the NU Summer Session College Preparation Program
Program Management/College Preparation Program
Facilitate programmatic aspects of the College Preparation Program (CPP) initiative within the Office of Summer Session
Maintain program infrastructure and recommend new policies and procedures as needed
Assist with program and curricular development in collaboration with faculty, Assistant Director of Summer Session, and other SPS staff
Partner with SPS Marketing and Admissions to oversee student recruitment, enrollment and support, including marketing, pre-program and on-site communications, and registration processes to ensure that CPP meet enrollment targets; manage processes for online registration and payment.
Partner with NU International office, Residence Life, and Student Health services to oversee program related services provided to CPP students
Work with Assistant Director of Summer to oversee all aspects of student housing and Residence Life staff. This includes coordinating the hiring and supervision of RA’s/TA’s
Facilitate the development and reconciliation of budgets for new and existing programs.
Manages program specific email commutation and phone calls as well as responds to inquiries from parents and students.
Faculty Management/College Preparation Program
Coordinate the recruitment, hiring, and communications for Summer faculty
Coordinate the recruitment and hiring of all faculty associated with the CPP programs; process faculty contracts and payment requests.
Monitor faculty performance and provide instructional support as needed to improve quality of classroom instruction and student learning outcomes.
Serve as point of contact for faculty questions and issues.
Review and evaluate student evaluation data for faculty and collaborate with the Assistant Director of Summer Session in hiring/rehiring decisions.
Identify teaching infrastructure needs and communicate same to SPS facilities and other staff.
Ensure compliance with SPS and NU policies regarding course preparation and evaluations.
Manage communications between faculty and students.
Course Scheduling/Summer Session and College Preparation Program
Manage the academic course offerings for College Preparation
Gather and analyze enrollment data to assist in course planning and identify opportunities for new programming and growth; provide weekly updates to the Assistant Director of Summer Session.
Maintain extensive database and web pages to accurately reflect course schedule, titles, and descriptions.
Work with academic departments and Evanston/SPS Registrar to ensure course information is accurately entered into student information system.
Promotion and marketing/Summer Session & College Preparation Program
Promote all Summer Session programs through outreach and marketing efforts to meet enrollment targets.
Compile descriptive copy for all courses offered through Summer Session and College Prep
Write and edit all College Preparation promotional materials, including brochures, postcards/posters, website, email, social media, and other marketing.
Act as primary contact for SPS marketing, admissions, and registration departments for resolution of all catalog and course management issues, online registration and prospect data entry.
Program Planning and Development/Summer Session & College Preparation Program
Assist in strategic planning to promote the growth of existing CPP initiatives and the development of new programs in Summer Session
In collaboration with Assistant Director of Summer Session, research areas of program expansion and create new program proposals
Solicit student and faculty feedback on existing courses and new programs and make recommendations for revision as needed
Compile and analyze all relevant data to assist in program planning and improvement; generate reports to analyze results and support strategic growth.
Coordinate with Assistant Director of Summer Session, registrar and staff to implement new program offerings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
1 year program/project administration or other relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Master’s degree; 3-5 years previous experience managing graduate-level education programs or programs for high school students.
