The Web Developer for the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) plans, designs, implements, and maintains the components of various ICAT websites, including the Institute, Institute Centers, the Creativity and Innovation District, and the Creative Technologies and Experiences strategic growth area, as well as short term special events as needed. The primary function is additions and maintenance to websites via a content management system and requires significant working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and other technologies. Web Developer responsibilities include working with groups to properly structure new sites or redesign existing sites to be more logical, user friendly, and professional; managing information architecture, hierarchy, navigation and interface design; ensuring compliance with University branding guidelines and procedures; and tracking and analyzing log information and analytics to update website design and layout.
- Project management experience. - Experience with Google Analytics. - Experience working with Ensemble, Wordpress, and Drupal content management systems. - Experience working in a higher education environment. - Demonstrated experience designing creative web user interfaces.
