The Milgard School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a MSBA Advisor/Recruiter.
The Advisor/Recruiter for the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) reports to the Administrator and will serve to manage the areas of recruitment, admissions and academic counseling for students seeking the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) degree offered by the Milgard School of Business, UW Tacoma. This individual will work in partnership with administrative staff and faculty team to develop and coordinate successful recruitment activities, manage annual admissions cycle, develop marketing materials (web, print & social media, etc.), and provide professional academic advising to current and prospective MSBA students.
Recruitment/Marketing/Job Placement Recruit students for the MSBA program. Establish and implement annual marketing plan. Establish and implement annual recruitment activities that will result in successful recruitment of students to the MSBA program. Represent MSBA at college and public information events. Update marketing materials (web, print & social media, etc.). Contact corporate representatives; set up visits for corporate onsite marketing & student recruitment. Contact corporate recruiters; schedule all on-campus interviews; set up corporate visits. Maintain corporate recruiting calendar (accessible by MSBA students). Serve as resource for corporate representatives, recruiters and students during program and corporate recruitment and interview processes. Develop and use employment systems. Provide scholarship / financial aid information.
Advising Provide program information to prospective MSBA students. Monitor and certify student progress for Graduate School and CPA review board. Organize new student orientation, program graduation ceremony and student success events. Assist with internship placement.
Admissions Coordinate admissions process, process applications, generate decision letters. Update application materials annually. Serve as Graduate Program Coordinator / Liaison with UW Graduate School.
Administrative Assist with annual assessment of student learning. Plan graduation events. Provide data and information as needed. Represent and participate in university activities (committees, task forces, professional associations and etc.). Assist with alternative delivery of MSBA Program at on-site (at UW-Tacoma) and off-site (out of UW-Tacoma) locations, face-to- face, hybrid and 100% online deliveries.
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or related field AND 2-3 years of experience with academic recruiting and providing academic student advising and general program administration within a higher education setting.
Excellent public speaking and writing skills, networking abilities, and experience giving public presentations. Demonstrated ability to work independently and work a flexible schedule with some evening and/or weekend work. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, evolving environment. Experience using computer programs such as MS Word, Access, Excel. Must be comfortable with data and have an intermediate level proficiency with computer technology.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Master's degree preferred.
