Knox College seeks a digital media specialist to help the College creatively promote its primary marketing messages through various digital media channels. The digital media specialist is responsible for web publishing, writing, editing, and designing content, including e-newsletters and social media, and is the primary facilitator of training opportunities and user support of the content management system (CMS), allowing campus constituents to manage their own online content.
The digital media specialist also assists in maintaining a global perspective of current web content and for actively contributing to ongoing plans for accessibility, usability, and general enhancement. The specialist will join a committed team working together across various media to implement all primary college marketing and communication strategies and messaging, with a focus on the diverse and vibrant character of the college. The college seeks someone who writes well, is detail oriented, enjoys a fast-paced and fun environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and has a passion for a residential liberal arts education.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, or a related field. Experience in copywriting, layout and design, and web publishing is a plus. The successful candidate will also have a good sense of design and general familiarity with graphics programs, such as Photoshop, and analytics tools.
