This position is located in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within the Office of Information Technology. The IAM team provides centralized account lifecycle management, as well as role based access control. The IAM Analyst position is primarily responsible for maintenance and operation of the enterprise directory and federations services. Specifically, this position maintains our Symas/OpenLDAP and Shibboleth Identity Provider systems. Other technologies include a mix of open-source and commercial products to manage person data.
You will coordinate and carry-out day-to-day operational activities and processes, delivering and managing services at agreed-upon levels. You'll also work to plan and assess service changes and upgrades, minimizing impact on business activities. A key element of this group’s work is providing infrastructure to allow IT service providers to manage authorization and access to services.
The IAM team regularly collaborates with campus departments and other service providers within OIT to integrate services with IAM technologies. The team also participates in numerous IT projects, providing consultation and design assistance as needed. You will perform a variety of technical tasks including, but not limited to, solutions design, architecture, requirements gathering, product installation, configuration, tuning, development, testing, debugging, operations, analysis, and documentation.
1. Develops, populates, documents and maintains the campus enterprise directory, directory connectors and account provisioning systems. 2. Identifies and resolves modeling and integration issues. 3. Establishes data access security profiles, develops backup procedures and disaster recovery procedures for IAM applications and maintains audit trails of security maintenance activity. 4. Works with information technology architects, database administrators, and information security and compliance units to develop access and authentication models. 5. Maintains current technical knowledge and skills necessary to support the defined system architecture model. 6. Responsible for troubleshooting and root cause analysis of IAM-related service-impacting issues. 7. Provides guidance on the development of metrics, KPI's, and reports needed to measure the health and status of services. Produces relevant reports to monitor, report, and evaluate these statistics. 8. Performs other duties assigned.
Experience installing, configuring, and running CAS and Shibboleth. Experience installing, configuring, and running OpenLDAP servers. Experience developing middleware and/or applications that interact with databases, LDAP, and 3rd party services that may include vendor API's and/or/SDKs.
