Receives incoming authorized packages from commercial vendors. Verifies quantities and checks condition of packages. Matches packing slips with purchase orders, verifying part numbers and quantities. Labels all incoming products with part numbers. Moves products to designated areas in warehouse if they are stock items. If not for stock then pull the corresponding shipper, tape it to the package and write the customer purchase order number and customer initials on box. Move to the "to be shipped" staging area. Responsible for maintaining safe, neat, and clean stockroom/warehouse. Keeps area secure at all times only providing access to authorized individuals. Ensures that any items taken from stockroom are authorized and signed documentation is provided (shipper). Will assist whenever inventories are performed, when purges occur or when warehouse labeling and counting of stock is required. Schedules shipments with drivers or self, ensuring all the products and corresponding paperwork are available. Loads delivery van with approved deliveries in such a manner that driver safety is preserved and product is not damaged. Must be familiar with operation of hand and power tools to assemble and de-install modular and standard office furniture. Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds that would which is the approximate weight of a standard package. Willingness to learn installation of cabling, related support devices, connectors, and demonstrates ability to perform functional testing.
Delivers that product to the correct facility and obtains a signature, date, and quantity for work order. Must obtain signature and printed name. If difficulties with deliveries arise, must notify Supervisor before leaving facility. Upon return, all paperwork must be handled immediately. Copies of shippers are to be made and distributed to Accounting and Purchasing. Becomes well versed in TMS (work order system) to account for job time and transaction history. Responds to and attends work orders entered by end users and Prepare all outbound shipments and files appropriately at the end of workday. Maintains delivery vehicles in clean, neat, and orderly condition. Schedules company delivery vehicles for scheduled maintenance. May be assigned other tasks as designed by Supervisor. Works with Supervisor to establish a weekly delivery schedule and checks daily to determine if any changes to that schedule are necessary. Travel required based on customer needs.
