Full Time 40 hours Grade 054 Psychiatry SMH Addiction Psych Schedule 8 AM-4:30 PM; WKENDS AS NEEDED Responsibilities General Purpose: Under general direction and with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative, the Medical Informaticist is responsible for providing oversight, guidance, research experience and expertise, clinical expertise, and consensus building in the specifications, development, and deployment of reporting and analytics functionality within eRecord and other data/information systems. This position manages designated programs for the URMC Service Lines within guidelines set by the responsible Service Line Director and leadership. This position will also work collaboratively with the designated Service Line Senior Analyst Programmer, leadership and other service lines, senior eRecord, and ISD team members to develop and coordinate a long term vision for continued expansion and optimization of eRecord and other data information systems toward data analytics. Responsibilities: Manage programs and projects to provide Service Line members with access to clinical, quality/outcomes, operational and financial data, whether directly from systems of record of through intermediary systems. Develop daily, weekly, and monthly action plans; organize Service Line and other resources to ensure program activities take place on time and within budget; collect and organize data necessary for program evaluation; develop and recommend program improvements. Manage programs and projects to build eRecord functionality and optimize workflow process to support data analytics. Design and deliver training to Service Line teams to increase their capacity to utilize clinical data for quality and operational improvement, cost reduction, and research purposes. Provide direct consultation and services to Service Line teams in the context of specific projects to enable collection of, access to, and utilization of data for quality operations, finance, and research purposes. Participates on eRecord and other URMC/AHP/PHM I&PI information systems committees and works directly with eRecord team members to advance Service Line programs and projects; participate in PHM I&PI staff meetings. Develop and provide expertise to support data analytics collaborations across URMC and other institutions. Support efforts of Service Line teams to utilize data for potential clinical trial design. Qualifications: Bachelorâ™s degree in related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of experience; preferably with at least three years of related experience in clinical practice. Must have experience in data analytics activities and information systems utilization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A graduate degree in a clinical, research, business, or technical program is preferred. Must have a demonstrated ability to create consensus through team and relationship building; excellent communication skills; and ability to manage several projects simultaneously and at a high level.
