This position will be used to provide instructional support and assistance to the instructors in media production classes such as MS 1198, Practicum in Media Studies, MS 2113 Media Production I , MS 2210 Video Production I, MS 2225 Live Events Media, MS 3113 Media Production 2, MS 3310 Video Production 2, and MS 3313 Advanced Video Editing. Courses that are scheduled in the studio in Lucas 116 will receive on-site continuous support to assure safety for students and proper use of equipment. Other classes, to include some Advertising and Public Relations activities (COMM 4100 and MS 3500), will be handled on an "as needed" basis.
The person in this position will also work with faculty to create instructional videos about the use of the lab equipment for students, as well as assist with internal and external video projects as needed and agreed upon.
Competence working with the most recent edition of Final Cut Pro, Tricaster Production hardware and software, Photoshop, After Effects and Motion is required.
The position should not go over 20 hours per week and will only be active during Fall and Spring semesters. Any additional assignments will be pre-approved by the Department Chair.
Minimum BA or BS in Media Studies or related discipline.
At least one year of Production experience.
$15.29 - $19.91 per hour
