The Department of Computer Science is a small, tight-knit department of 8 full time faculty members and a small number of part-time faculty. We have an active and engaged undergraduate population and a growing masters program. The department has an active undergraduate research program working out of our labs.
Teaching programming courses and also courses which cover packages Matlab, MS Access and MS Excel.
Applicants should possess: – Ability to effectively teach in a close, collegial environment dedicated to the teaching-learning relationship. – Strong commit to excellence in teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity. – Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning. – Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading. – Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the department office as requested. – Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
MS in computer science or closely related field.
Software industry experience or teaching experience at the university level.
