The Office of the Provost is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Special Assistant to the Provost.
Based in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President, the Assistant (Administrative Support Coordinator/ASC) provides administrative assistance to the Special Assistant to the Provost and Executive Vice President. The ASC also provides assistance to others in the Office (see list of duties). There is significant interpersonal interaction and access to sensitive information, requiring excellent communication skills, discretion, diplomacy and professional poise.
Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years' experience providing administrative support to an administrator
Minimum of three years comparable professional experience.

Organizational systems and efficiencies
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSUSTANDARD 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Criminal History Check Requirement.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions (as per Voluntary and Compulsory Driver Standards OSUSTANDARD 125-155-0200) as per OSUSTANDARD 576-056-0000 et seq. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Motor Vehicle Check Requirement.
The ASC will be expected to work Monday through Friday, 800 am to 500 pm or 700 am to 400 pm. Overtime work is fairly rare.
The ASC will occasionally be asked to perform on-campus (on foot) and off-campus (via automobile) deliveries or errands, or to stand for periods of time while staffing events or meetings.
Salary (Minimum): $41,664
Salary (Maximum): $70,704
Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
