POSITION DETAILSThe Administrative Officer for the VP for Finance and Administration at Kingsborough Community College (KCC) provides administrative oversight for revenue-generating entrepreneurial activities at the college. The services include campus-wide food services, bookstore operation, ATM services, copier services, Vending Services, and any other profit-generating operation on campus. Services are generally outsourced to independent providers legally contracting with, and answerable to, the Auxiliary Board. The primary responsibility of the Administrative Officer is to oversee and direct current and future auxiliary services and facilities in order to serve the best interests of the student body and academic community. This position will provide leadership and managerial oversight for the College's auxiliary services and facilities.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Oversee and evaluate overall auxiliary services across campus to ensure the academic community's needs are met. * ldentify and secure new revenue generating opportunities for KCC and work with vendors to negotiate financial support of new projects/initiatives. * Ovesee and participate in new initiatives and commercial ventures at KCC and in collaboration with CUNY. * Develop, recommend, and implement auxiliary service operations goals and objectives to ensure top-quality and financially efficient services. * Manage vendor and business partner relationships, sponsorship opportunities, and strategic initiatives- * Ensure customer satisfaction through management and oversight of our vendor and service partner relationships. * Draft independent service contracts. * Ensure all auxiliary service providers are in contract compliance through ongoing reviews as well as programmatic and financial audits. * Prepare ad-hoc and annual reports. * Monitor monthly reconciliation statements. * Work directly with service providers to correct and improve services. * Serve on College Food Service Committee. * Liaise with Environmental Safety Office to ensure all required health practices are met in all campus food service locations. * Organize major events, functions and conferences on campus, including working with other campus units to coordinate venues, setup, food, parking, etc.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree and eight years' relevant experience required.CUNY TITLE OVERVIEWAs a senior staff member in a large academic or administrative department, division, or school, manages operations and administration, participates in planning and setting priorities, and oversees related projects to ensure their success. * Works with management to create short- and long-term business plans, including operational, organization, and financial aspects. * Works with management and others to develop and implement operating policies and procedures. * Manages the ongoing financial, operational, and staffing activities of the department. * Manages operating budget and performs analysis and reporting to support decision-making. * Oversees legal, safety, fiscal, and other compliance requirements. * Oversees facilities, technology, and materials utilized in the department, coordinating with appropriate Campus services. * Works with other Campus or University units to coordinate and plan fund-raising, grants, marketing, communications, and outreach activities. * Independently carries out a portfolio of responsibilities under the department's purview, such as managing committees, securing approvals, and providing communications. * Performs related duties as assigned.Job Title Name: Administrative OfficerCUNY TITLEHigher Education OfficerFLSAExemptCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS$97,628 - $108,683CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
