Supports PSF management and Medical staff in providing data, facilitating data collections, analyzing data and trending utilizing the various clinical information systems. Collaborating with clinical managers, directors and physicians to ensure the accurate and timely use of data available within the system.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1: Possesses broad knowledge of medical field and hospital processes to include, but not necessarily limited to, medical terminology, medical record documentation/contents, injury/disease processes and treatment protocols/practices.
2: Demonstrates maturity in being self-directed and self-initiated.
3: Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
4: Knows various hospital databases and is hands-on in working with systems.
5: Communicates clearly, concisely and respectfully at all times (oral and written), and possesses strong facilitation, customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
6: Provides data that aids in the identification, implementation, and evaluation of process improvement initiatives.
7: Collaborates with other departments related to the data needs required for JCAHO compliance to standards and accreditation, survey preparation and education.
8: Manual chart review and data abstraction for compliance with required data collection and reporting related to CMS/JCAHO/AHRQ core measure and patient safety indicators.
BS in a clinical/healthcare field required
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
