Bullis, an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school, seeks a highly skilled, customer service-oriented accounting professional to serve as full-time Senior Accountant, Student Billing. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivables and billing for the school and collecting tuition and operating revenues. Primary responsibilities include:
• Leading Business Office department to implement all aspects of Veracross accounting system with assistance from Technology department • Direct management responsibilities for the Special Programs Accountant • Maintain accounts receivable and student billing modules including tuition, transportation, school store purchases, extended day, tuition refund insurance, etc. • Work collaboratively with the Admission office to facilitate new and current student enrollment and its related processes • Accounting and reconciliation with regard to monthly recurring entries, tuition revenue, financial aid, and other accounts receivable accounts • Advise management of potential issues related to A/R monthly • Manage adherence to variable payments plans and billing options as required with families • Assist Chief Financial Officer to leverage new and existing technology and procedures to carry out Business Office functions
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (or substantial equivalent experience) is required, with a master’s degree preferred. Experience with education and/or non-profits preferred. A CPA is also preferred.
