Job Requisition Number: 23563. Central Human Resources is part of the Finance and Administrative Services unit and serves as a supportive partner in the teaching, research, and public service missions of the University of California, Berkeley.
Incumbent will use professional learning and development concepts. They will apply the campus' policies, procedures and programs to address learning and development needs and programs that are limited in scope. They follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing training needs and determining effectiveness of current programs and methodologies. Their contact with others is primarily internal. They receive detailed instructions on all learning and development assignments.
?Under direct supervision, works in a collaborative manner with a diverse campus population to assist in the administration and organization of learning and development programs. ?Applies established campus policies, procedures and programs to address training needs that are limited in scope. Begins to develop, deliver, and/or curate existing and/or basic training courses. Learns to analyze training needs and determine effectiveness of current programs following standard practices and procedures. Receives detailed instructions on all training assignments. ?Applies basic organizational and problem solving skills including managing the L&D Director?s calendar and backing up other junior staff in Central Human Resources.?Basic knowledge of other areas of human resources. ?Learns and acquires knowledge of campus policies and procedures and knowledge of functional area. ?Learns and applies the basics of delivering training programs and knowledge of other areas of human resources. ?Basic reading, verbal, written and interpersonal communications and presentation skills. ?Basic knowledge of software systems in the completion of work assignments (for example, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Education/Training: ?Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
