The Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist (Staff Sonographer) provides technical support in the performance of these examinations to provide diagnostic images for diagnostic interpretations by a Radiologist.--Valid Registration by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).--Valid CPR Certification.--Experience performing ultrasound imaging.--Experience using/operating ultrasound equipment to produce a quality images; utilizing ultrasound equipment to differentiate disease processes and artifacts; and recognizing normal human anatomy and certain pathological conditions.--Experience competently performing essential functions of a staff Sonographer.--Experience performing data input and retrieval.--Excellent Customer Service delivery experience/skills.--Excellent verbal communication skills.--Excellent writing skills to legibly enter patient information.--Knowledge of and ability to use computer terminal and standard keyboard.--Skills to input/retrieve data accurately.PREFERRED:--ARRT and CRT Certifications.--Experience using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Information Services (IS) access codes, security, and patient privacy.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS--Variable work hours, alternate shifts, and occasional overtime to provide coverage.--Rotate on-call for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.--Move, manipulate, and transfer patients weighing up to 400 pounds on/to/from examination table with assistance.--Movement of supply boxes and/or equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.--Work locations may result in mobility from location to location throughout the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center and/or satellite facilities throughout UCD's Primary Clinic Network. --THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
