Staff Research Associate I is responsible for mastering large databases, creating excellent working relationship with all state hospitals necessary to maintain research activities, the recruitment of subjects for this research, conducting structured assessments of competence in psychiatric patients, symptom ratings of these patients, thorough record reviews, administration of instruments, scoring, data entry, development of databases, maintaining research records, and other research related duties.REQUIRED:--Demonstrated skill in applied psychological human research--Training/knowledge of research methodology and design in clinical human research--Proficiency to effectively use the PC and software such as Word, Access, Excel, and SPSS (data analysis software)--Demonstrated strong organizational skills to manage large program development databases--Demonstrated good interpersonal skills to facilitate and maintain relationships with othersPREFERRED:--Demonstrated skill in applied human research ,preferably in mental health or a related field--Bachelor's degree in psychology or related fieldSPECIAL REQUIREMENTMust be willing to be fingerprinted, as certain types of criminal arrests are prohibited from employment per NSH policy. - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
