The University of Cincinnati Technology Accelerator for Commercialization department in the Office of Research is currently accepting applications for a Sr. Licensing Associate. The preferred candidate will have a history of deal-making in the physical sciences, but exceptional candidates with a background in any scientific field will also be considered. The Sr. Licensing Associate will report to the Director and will manage all aspects of an academic technology transfer patent portfolio, including but not limited to:
Working with faculty, staff and students to identify the commercial value of intellectual property arising from their activities
Working with outside counsel to protect the commercial value of intellectual property
Be responsible for drafting and negotiating agreements pertaining to research, licensing, and other aspects of university/industry collaborations
Making recommendations on licensing candidates for University technologies
Developing and maintaining professional relationships between UC and industry as well as other academic institutions.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years' experience; -OR- Associate's degree with nine (9) years' experience. Degree must be in science, engineering or a related field. Experience must be in academic technology transfer; -OR- scientific or research/development. Some position may require at least three (3) years supervision.
Degree in a physical science or engineering field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on interpersonal, negotiation skills and public speaking experience.
Demonstrated ability to gauge basic business considerations and potential of technologies in a wide variety of scientific fields.
Ability to interact effectively with constituents in academic and industry.
Work history of effective, timely project management.
