The Evaluation / Education Specialist works in and is a part of Carleton’s Science Education Resource Center (SERC) team. This position will design, implement, and report evaluation of educational projects including curriculum development projects, professional development programs and websites. The Evaluation / Education Specialist may also work on education research projects and other SERC activities related to improving undergraduate education.
This position will also help create evaluation plans, including logic models and outcome-focused evaluation efforts, including plans and evaluation narratives for proposed projects and IRB applications. Collaborate with partnering institution staff, external evaluators, and funders on evaluation efforts.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, regular, 12-month position.

The successful candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in evaluation studies or an education degree that includes assessment or program evaluation coursework. Demonstrated ability to collect and work with quantitative data; including survey design and comfort with basic statistics and data visualization techniques.
Preferred qualities include knowledge of higher education and its culture, knowledge of effective practices and challenges of higher education.
