Job: IRC24398 Brief Description Responsibilities General · Ability to comply with all departmental uniform and equipment standards and knowledge in the use/care of all firearms/equipment issued by USD's Department of Public Safety. · Possess skill in the use of specific equipment and tools as identified under Tools and Equipment Used.
Specific Job Requirements Qualifications: · Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse population including faculty, staff, students and visitors. · Have a valid California driver's license. · Have a valid CPR and First Aid cards (in some special circumstances training and certification can be completed after start date). · Have guard registration and firearm permits issued by the State of California (in some special circumstances training and certification can be completed after start date). · Prefer 832 class or P.O.S.T. certification, or ability to qualify under these provisions. · Must have full range of hearing, as duties involve listening to phone and radio transmissions, and for audible fire and intrusion alarms. · Eyesight must be correctable to 20/30 with normal color vision. · Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in Spanish highly desirable.
