Posting Summary: The School of Nursing seeks a Senior Program Coordinator for Inclusion, Diversity and Excellent Achievement (IDEA) Initiative. The Coordinator is responsible for managing operational aspects of the Dean's initiative on Inclusion, Diversity and Excellence Achievement (IDEA). IDEA is a comprehensive initiative to improve student, faculty, and staff diversity within the School of Nursing, as well as transform its culture to be a more fully inclusive and respectful community. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; work effectively under deadline pressure; demonstrate significant independent decision making; and bring a positive and enthusiastic presence to a fast-paced team-oriented environment. A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred. Prior experience in a higher education, academic or health sciences setting is preferred. Prior experience in diversity-related programs, website maintenance, and usage of University systems SIS is preferred. Candidates must have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, be a self-directed individual, have demonstrated proactive initiative, critical thinking, adaptability to change, and ability to exercise independent judgment and action. Exceptional project and event planning skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and skilled in establishing priorities. Skilled in appropriate software packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. This position will be restricted for one year as a result of availability of funds but is subject to annual renewal dependent on available funding.
