Starting Salary Range: 2016/2017 Salary Range: $42,429/yr to $73,568/yr. (see 'Additional Posting Information' section for details)

This position assists the Women's Resource Center Coordinator in planning, implementing and supporting programs sponsored by the Women's Resource Center. These include but are not limited to Project Independence (a scholarship funded transitions program designed to support students facing barriers to college), Women's Leadership and the Black Women's Empowerment League. The incumbent assists with recruitment and intake, and provides ongoing case management to program participants who continue their education. The incumbent may also develop and deliver classroom instruction to Project Independence. The position requires the incumbent to become a privileged and confidential advocate through completing a 40 hour Title IX training.

Responsibilities/Duties: - Assists Coordinator in carrying out the day-to-day activities in the Women's Resource Center; assists with providing retention strategies for program participants who enroll in regular coursework following completion Project Independence. - Provides confidential and privileged support and advocacy for students with Title IX reports. - Provides support for students facing personal situations that may impact school performance, and crisis intervention. - Works collaboratively with career/technical program faculty and department chairs to bring career information to program participants. - Assists program coordinator with the Project Independence orientations and individual intake interview. - May develop and deliver classroom instruction to Project Independence. - May work with Coordinator to develop and implement an outreach communication strategy including print, electronic and website content development. - With Coordinator, develops opportunities for peer mentoring. - Provides students with information about campus and community resources. - Works with community partners to increase available resources for students facing sexual violence, interpersonal violence or stalking. - Works closely with Counseling staff, student services areas, and faculty to implement student success initiatives that help to retain program participants. - Assists Coordinator with the development and facilitation of student success workshops and other programs and events sponsored by the Women's Resource Center. - Assists in hiring, training and supervising WRC student leaders. Assists WRC board in planning and implementation of programs and projects. - May assist the Coordinator with the preparation of annual reports detailing program successes and challenges; and with identifying funding sources for the program. - Provides one-to-one assistance with financial aid and scholarship applications. - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in student development, psychology, social work, social science or related field is required (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

Special/Preferred Qualifications Candidates that have a Master's degree in student development, psychology, social work, social science, counseling or other related field may be allowed to teach Career Guidance courses.
Experience working with post-secondary students.
Experience providing resources and delivering services that support the academic success of students of all genders.
Experience planning and implementing a student leadership program.
Experience providing support to survivors of sexual violence, interpersonal violence and gender based discrimination.
Experience balancing competing demands in a rapidly changing environment.
