Plans, directs, controls and supervises the overall financial, operational and functional activities of assigned provider practices within OMH Medical Group. Assists in the short- and long-term planning of assigned practices to maximize patient access, growth, efficiency, profitability and maintenance of the practices. Manages the day-to-day practice operations to ensure compliance with all organizational and department policies and procedures and efficient office flow. Assures demonstrated excellent customer service by all staff. Serves as an administrative representative to work with patients and staff to ensure maximum patient access and quality care, as well as maintain effective team functioning. Participates in interdepartmental and intersystem committees, meetings and activities to promote the mission and values of OMH. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Knowledge of general medical practice management, finance, human resources and healthcare operations and principles as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, management or finance and 2 years of medical practice management experience. Current State of Michigan Registered Nursing License and 2-3 years clinical experience preferred. CMPE/FACMPE or attained within one year of hire. Experience in patient flow designs and scheduling strategies. Knowledge of, and experience with, computer-based word processing, spreadsheet and database applications and practice management software. Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision-making and apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations while working closely with the DOO to achieve consistency across OMH. Analytical skills needed to review complex sets of performance, financial and outcome data. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality. Well-developed written and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully in a professional manner with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
