The Business Process Consultant position reports directly to the plan Chief Operating Officer and is an individual contributor role responsible for supporting various aspects of our Virginia Medicaid Health Plan implementation. We are seeking strong process - focused staff to assist in new product implementation and oversight. There's never been a better time to do your life's best work.(SM)Primary Responsibilities:Create, control and improve end-to-end business processes for projects as assignedLead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities; both internal and external to UnitedHealth Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools Create quality reporting, analysis and audits for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools Assist in the creation, implementation and evaluation of Total Quality Management (TQM) programs
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in writing business and / or system requirements and business / finance analysis 3+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines Intermediate level of proficiency with PC - based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience 4+ years of MS Project, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio Previous experience with SQL and / or other BI reporting tools Previous Healthcare Industry experience Previous Team Lead or Project Lead experience Medicaid, CHIP, long term care and / or government health Careers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
