This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) The Community Liaison is responsible for traveling locally to medical offices and clinics and ensuring seamless operations between WellMed and hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other liaison organizations. They are responsible for obtaining completed physician orders and any other medical documentation necessary to ensure continuation of patient care and proper billing. They will also monitor and restock inventory of WellMed durable medical equipment (DME) and medical office sites. This person works with patients, families, physicians, and other health personnel to provide the highest quality of care. They must act in a professional and ethical manner and collaborate with other members of the health care team to ensure quality patient care and excellent customer service. Primary Responsibilities:Drop-off and pick-up of completed medical documentation (such as physician's orders)Tracks missing documentation and follows up to ensure timely receiptRoutes paperwork according to established office procedure to ensure accurate record-keepingMaintain inventory of WellMed durable medical equipment (DME) at medical office sites Answer general questions about equipment, supplies, and health care delivery services Receive and address customer complaints by routing specific or complex questions to appropriate individual(s)Direct customer support to assigned referral sources/customers on a daily basisCompletion and on-time submission of daily route logs
Required Qualifications: High school diploma 1+ years' experience in claims, customer service or provider support roleAt least a basic level of proficiency with MS programs including Excel and WordAccess to reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 75% within greater Dallas / Ft. Worth (DFW) areaPreferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in the medical industry, such as medical insurance, managed care or home healthcareBilingual Spanish/English Ability to work independently and remain on taskStrong interpersonal and oral communication skills including telephone etiquetteGood organization and planning skillsBasic level of research and analytical skillsCareers with WellMed.
