This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm)The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for activities associated with credentialing or re - credentialing physicians and providers, including processing provider applications and re - applications including initial mailing, review, and loading into the database tracking system ensuring high quality standards are maintained. Credentialing Coordinators will assist with audits and provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance. Primary Responsibilities:Perform intake of credentialing applications, processing and inputting into the systemRe-credentialing of applications that come back throughWork independently as well as with a team to identify, track, and resolve application issuesMaintain accuracy throughout the credentialing process to minimize re-work status and errorsEstimated 30 - 40 applications on a weekly basisCredentialing File organization and archiving
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED or higherExperience with managed care, health insurance or medical insuranceExperience working in administrative or clerical roleExperience using MS Word and MS Excel in a professional environment with the ability to create documents and conduct data entryPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience in credentialing providers, working in provider relations, medical billing or quality managementExperience in utilizing credentialing softwareNCQA experience highly preferredKnowledge of CMS credentialing requirementsSoft Skills:Strong organization and planning skillsStrong interpersonal and oral communication skills including telephone etiquetteBasic level of research and analytical skillsUnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
