Join us and start doing your life's best work.Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. Interprets physicians' prescriptions and creates order, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer system, verifies whether order is reimbursable. Dispenses any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals and injectables; may compound medications. Consults with customers, patients and / or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Consultations may be telephonic or in person. Reviews and approves / denies requests for prescription prior authorizations. Pharmacists must have a current license without restrictions and Pharmacy Technicians must have current state license or national certification without restrictions based on regulatory requirements of worksite. Continuous standing, picking orders, compounding orders in a rotating schedule and there will be on-call responsibilities as well. On-Call could be expected 1 night a week with weekend on-call once a month. Hopefully less once fully staffed. Our current operations opens at 8:30am to 7pm Mon-Fri. Primary Responsibilities:Enter prescriptions and verifying appropriate information Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion) Resolve customer issues and ensuring accurate information is providedConsistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance recordExtensive work experience within own functionWork is frequently completed without established proceduresWorks independentlyMay act as a resource for othersMay coordinate others' activities
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED1+ years of Pharmacy related experience Kansas Pharmacy Technician LicenseIf licensed in any other state, then ability to get Kansas State Board pharmacy license within 90 days of employment (Continued employment is contingent upon successful Kansas Pharmacy Technician Licensing and Registration as required)1+ years Sterile Compounding experienceFamiliarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationsExperience with Microsoft Word (ability to create / edit document), Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create and send presentations) and Microsoft Excel (ability to work with formulas and formatting) Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the businessPreferred Qualifications: 4+ years of Pharmacy related experienceNationally Certified Pharmacy technician Soft Skills:Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitorService center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, floor activityNot a Sedentary position, majority of the time spent on feetCareers with AxelaCare.
