And we do it all with every action focused on our shared values of Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation, and Performance.The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for answering incoming calls / completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. Interprets physicians' prescriptions and creates order, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer system, verifies whether order is reimbursable. Dispenses any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals and injectable; may compound medications. Consults with customers, patients and / or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Pharmacists must have a current license without restrictions and Pharmacy Technicians must have current state license or national certification without restrictions based on regulatory requirements of work site. The new hire will work within the production team (picking / packing supplies, compounding, and pulling product from shelves.) There is also the expectation that all Pharmacy Technicians in our location be trained to work in every technical area of the operation.Primary Responsibilities:Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate informationProcessing prescriptions (from intake to order completion)Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is providedConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance recordWe require a pharmacy technician with any for detail and strong communication skills to work in the production area of the pharmacy; Ideally with experience with IV admixture experience.Moderate work experience within own function.Some work is completed without established procedures.Basic tasks are completed without review by others.Supervision / guidance is required for higher level tasks
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GEDLicensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of ArizonaFamiliarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationAvailable to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the businessSoft Skills:Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitivePhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Frequent standing, lifting, sorting of paperwork, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, requires attention to detail.Careers with AxelaCare.
