Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Identify and implement ways to improve access to care for members Identify and implement strategies to positively impact behavioral health admissions and inpatient days, and health care costs Identify priorities and initiatives to meet state and local requirements Assist with combating the stigma and labeling of those with mental health or substance use disorder Utilize tools in the recovery facilitating process, such as WRAP, Advance Directives, Medication / Mood charts, Shared Decision Making, and Goal Setting Identify ways for members to navigate through a behavioral health care delivery system Provide member and family education regarding their mental health or substance use disorder Utilize existing resources and identify new resources which support the member in their recovery process Utilize recovery principles, including self-direction, individualized and person-centered empowerment, holistic, non-linear recovery, strengths-based, peer support, respect, responsibility and hope. Utilize the Resiliency and Empowerment Activation Choices tool to help members and providers select a self-care / activation tool based on where the member is in terms of their stage of recovery and level of activation Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:Possess an unrestricted Nevada license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor 2+ years recent professional or personal experience related to peer support of mental health or substance abuse Computer literate and database familiarity Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience with presentations in front of large and small audiences Knowledge of managed care concepts, standards and alternative delivery systems Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements, as well as certificationCareers with Optum.
