Required Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in a leadership/management role in software development within large, global, matrixed, complex organizations 15+ years of experience working through various phases of SDLC design, development, release planning and delivering to market 5+ years of professional Director level experience in a large, enterprise environment Prior experience leading distributed teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience with modern software engineering practices - Agile, Continuous Delivery, DevOps Experience with current mobile, web, and Big Data technologies Health care industry experience Experience with product development Broad understanding of technology and how it's used to drive business growth and/or efficiencies Demonstrated ability to apply process, architecture and software engineering principles, methods and tools to business challenges A record of successful delivery of software products in a managerial/leadership capacity Strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise - wide perspective Inspirational leadership style that promotes innovation and collaboration and fosters commitment to a shared vision Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization including senior technology and business leadersCareers with Optum.
