This is an exciting opportunity to be based in London on an initial 6 month project
Lead for financial cost management of a Programme within Investment Banking
Utilise globally consistent management information and reporting framework, providing key financial and non-financial information to business to support delivery of the programme
Ensure adherence to cost management frameworks and ensure that cost programme cost centres are managed correctly
Remove the burden of cost management from individual projects within the programme.
Develop business finance capability and resourcing as appropriate to ensure the Programme is adequately supported
Management of diverse set of stakeholders and locations for Financial Reporting
Ensuring that financial forecasts for the programme are accurate and that managers have a single version of the truth that reflect actual spend
Take the burden of the accounting processes from Project Managers to allow them to focus on delivery
This Programme is a multi-year programme addressing business challenges to achieve an Agile Balance Sheet by building out capabilities in and moving clients and trading oversea locations
Resolving challenges raised by ring-fencing, Brexit and DIFC
Observation of Internal Controls
Implement and validate financial and non-financial metrics used in Programme internal reporting.
Manage on-going Programme costs, budgets and associated recharges.
Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which one is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
