Houston Methodist is seeking a qualified Senior Information Technology (IT) Auditor to join our recognized and engaged internal audit team. Our internal audit department is comprised of professionals who provide quantifiable, value-added assurance and consulting services by providing an independent appraisal of the organization’s risks and controls. The Senior IT Auditor is primarily responsible for planning, coordinating and executing technology-based operational, financial and compliance reviews of the Houston Methodist entities. The successful candidate should
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a complex Information Technology environment. Healthcare experience a plus. A relevant professional certification is required: CPA, CISA, CISSP or CIA required, CISSP or CISA preferred. Other certifications such as SANS, Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus.
Be a self-motivated individual with inherent curiosity, tenacity, and the ability to operate independently and within teams in a dynamic environment.
Possess a strong information technology foundation, with an ability to identify risks and controls in regards to various IT related areas such as system development, change management, computer operations.
Be experienced in identifying and assessing business process controls and linkage to IT systems while thinking “outside the box”.
Possess a solid understanding of IT security fundamentals across multiple domains including security management, security architecture, access control, application development, operations security, physical security, encryption, telecommunications and networking, business continuity planning, threat intelligence, and investigations.
Possess knowledge and understanding of various standards (e.g., NIST), control models (e.g., COBIT), application and system development life cycles, and physical and operational security controls and safeguards.
