Business Info Developer Consultant:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions. Performs modeling of information sources and flows. May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects. Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse and Hadoop environments. Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues. Work with electronic medical record (EMR) data-sets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data. Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables. Develop specification standards for incoming data sets. Conducts training on use of applications developed.
Business Info Developer Consultant Senior
Viewed as an expert in the development and execution of data mining analyses. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical knowledge of internal processes and procedures.
Develops and supports complex Data Warehouse-related applications for business areas, requiring design and implementation of aggregated reporting database tables.
Develops complex strategic report applications from a Data Warehouse, as well as various ad-hoc queries and analyses.
Establishes and maintains advanced knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues.
Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for internal and external staff as necessary.
Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team.
Monitors project schedules and costs for own and other projects.
Requires a BS/BA degree; 4-6 or more years experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
Expert level PC spreadsheet and database skills, as well as experience with Business Objects and Tableau required.
Programming/query languages required.
Experience with Hadoop environment preferred.
Experience with Python, R, SAS is a plus.
Healthcare experience required.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) data required for the Consultant Senior and preferred for the Consultant.
Strong communications skills required to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
