The Provider Recruiter will be responsible for executing all phases of provider recruitment (physician and mid-level) from initial contact through start date, including the on-boarding process of new providers. Coordinates community introduction for provider spouses and families and facilitates provider hiring, orientation, satisfaction and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizes recruitment database programs.
Responsible for candidate lead generation, prescreening and appropriate follow-up with provider candidates for designated practices.
Ability to source candidates thru internet searches, job boards, email blasts, cold calling and various ad campaigns. Develop relationships with various medical schools and residency training programs as a means of gaining access to potential provider candidates.
Recruits providers (physician and/or mid-level) as assigned. Conducts initial interviews and schedules/arranges interview process. Works with COO, medical director and managers to have successful interview process for all potential candidates.
Negotiates employment offers as directed by senior leadership.
Ensures that all background verifications are completed, including new hire paperwork & system entry.
Arranges and participates in appropriate job fairs, and any other special events.
Assists with sourcing, referencing, license verification and certification.
Facilitates contract amendments.
Maintains a positive relationship and process for a new recruit throughout the first year of hire.
Maintains recruitment accounting, invoices and reimbursements.
Communicates and presents in a manner that inspires providers to seek/learn more about Mercyhealth.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
Minimum five years' experience
Experience in recruitment or related field in healthcare environment preferred.
ASPR Certification (Associate, Diplomat or Fellowship Level) is preferred.
Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions. Ability to work irregular hours with some travel required.
