Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Physical Therapist.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical treatment to assigned patients in a supervises program of rehabilitation. Demonstrates a variety of treatment approaches. Assists the clinical supervisor in organizing unit activities. Assists with the implementation of clinical teaching sessions to staff and students on an ongoing basis
Initial Assessment and Evaluation of Physical Therapy needs for specifically assigned patient populations.
Implements Treatment Plans and Protocol according to current professional and health system standards.
Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
Participates in Clinical Education of Fieldwork students and other professional educational endeavors.
Responsible for certain level of patient care productivity as indicated by individual Unit Procedures.
Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates appropriate professionalism during job performance.
Adheres to all department procedure and polices.
Assumes additional responsibilities in the organizational and structural needs of assigned unit.
Engages in clinical mentoring activities that benefit other colleagues knowledge and skill levels.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.Good Communication and interpersonal skills.Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist with direct orthopedic experience.Must hold a PT specialty certification or willingness to obtain.
Required Licenses: Phys Thrpst License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications: DPT in Physical Therapy or a related field
