Serves as Attorney HR Applications subject matter expert for assigned functional areas, providing specific expertise in areas of data integrity, data analysis, database management and report writing
Write, maintain and support a variety of Attorney HR reports and queries
Ensures compliance with data privacy requirements and appropriate security is maintained for Attorney HR applications; maintains end-user access to Attorney HR systems
Participates in meetings with ADR / HR management, IT and administrative staff to analyze Attorney HR applications and make recommendations for improving system functionality and/or processes
Collaborates with Attorney HRIS Manager, global HRIS professionals and IT technical team to understand and advise on system conversions, upgrades and enhancements of all Attorney HR systems
Works with technical and end-user staff to analyze and trouble-shoot system errors and functionality issues in all Attorney HR databases
Assists Attorney HRIS Manager and IT technical team with system testing and user acceptance testing
Compiles and analyzes complex US and global reports for senior management, clients and media publications and is the departmental contact for knowing the breadth of data available for reporting
Establishes reporting routines that provide common data needed by department end-users and senior management
Handles the maintenance, coordination and execution of the US, Germany, Brussels and Brazil attorney performance review process, US first year associate process and summer associate work assignment process via viDesktop
Provides assistance for the attorney compensation process as needed
Occasional travel may be required
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is closely related to the functions of the job
5 years of HRIS and report creation experience required
Work experience in a professional services organization preferred, with law firm experience a strong plus
Working knowledge of performance management, learning management and applicant tracking software preferred
Strong functional understanding of HRIS systems and reporting tools required, preferably using PeopleSoft v. 9.1 and PeopleSoft Query tools
Knowledge of software and processes for performance management, applicant tracking, continuing education compliance tracking is preferred; specific knowledge of viDesktop, CE Manager, LawCruit and SQL a strong plus
Experience in global or multi-regional environment a strong plus
Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite (advanced level of Excel skills required)
Detailed oriented; strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and set priorities
Must have the ability to identify and solve problems
Self starter; high level of initiative; service oriented, highly responsive with a sense of urgency
Excellent interpersonal skills; requires diplomatic handling of situations that arise
Ability to handle highly confidential matters; high level of professionalism
