Job Posting: Essential Job Duties: This position is responsible for producing a wide variety of data analyses (may include advanced Statistical Analysis), to support department and management decisions. Participates as member of multi-disciplinary project teams. Brings data and analyses to support team efforts—to identify opportunities, design interventions, and evaluate outcomes. Assists in data mining to identify opportunities for enhanced clinical efficiency and appropriateness of care. This can include studies to assess adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices as well as financial analyses to identify outliers and project financial impact of clinical changes. Provides analyses to test hypotheses to understand root causes and to model impact of potential interventions. Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and assisting with implementation of programs, plans and systems in support of Clinical Transformation. Identifies and tracks key metrics and measures outcomes to evaluate effectiveness of specific interventions and programs. The position will be focused on providing analytics and reporting support for all prospective modeling, and real-time and retrospective data management, reports, analytics, metrics, measuring, etc. The incumbent will have outstanding Microsoft Excel skills and understand the needs for accurate and timely information for modeling, real-time reporting, and retrospective analysis and reporting. Analyzes data and other reports provided by different areas that are sent in a non-usable format and convert them to useable and reports that can be manipulated. Understands the significance of the data and how best to display and report it, for example, taking daily reports and aggregating them for weekly summary as well as ensuring that all relevant parties receive the information on a daily basis. Provides all analytic and reporting support to ALL aspects of the department, including clinical efficiency and appropriateness initiatives—for both routine reporting and ad hoc requests.
MBA, MPH, or MPA preferred. Course work should include, finance, marketing, accounting, information systems and business strategy.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent required, with course work in finance, accounting, information systems, business strategy and database management. A combination of education/experience is acceptable. Experience: . At least two (2) years of related experience
Experience with hospital-based administrative database applications and data warehousing technology highly desired.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint; statistical software programs, and related reporting tools (i.e. Brio, Crystal, Access, SAS, etc.)
Advanced analytical/data analysis and problem-solving skills

Experience with planning, finance, or business development experience in a healthcare organization or consulting organization providing services to the healthcare industry also desired, including knowledge of hospital, clinic, and/or medical group operations and knowledge of local healthcare market dynamics, including competition, third party payers, and demographic trends.
