The Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning in July, 2018. We are seeking applicants with a research program focused on the science of well-being in relation to social disparities. We are particularly interested in scholars who study social disparities or the impact of socio-economic, ethnic, or cultural factors on well-being. Additional areas of focus include the nature and development of well-being (subjective well-being and meaning/purpose) and/or character strengths. Evidence of superior scholarship, teaching ability and strong quantitative skills is required. The successful candidate will teach courses in her or his areas of expertise as well as more general courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, conduct programmatic research, supervise undergraduate and graduate student research, and be committed to diversity and inclusion as core values. We additionally expect the successful candidate to actively participate in and contribute to the well-being research theme of the Department.
