Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, Unclassified, AFT position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: This position is in the "NL" category of employment (non-fixed work week) and have no claim or entitlement to time off or cash compensation for hours worked beyond their normal schedule. However, unusual requirements for additional work time by these employees may be compensated by allowing roughly comparable amounts of time off, provided prior approval is given by the supervisor and Unit Head.

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions the Admissions Counselor is responsible for meeting established enrollment, application and yield goals from their assigned territories, coordination of recruitment and follow-up activity for assigned territory and alphabet. Activities include the management of a recruitment territory, development of a comprehensive communication/yield plan, follow-up with prospective students, reviewing of applications, planning and execution of on and off campus recruitment events and other duties as assigned.
Assists with the execution and implementation of the Office of Admissions Recruitment Plan
Coordinates recruitment in assigned territory by representing the College at college fairs, high school visits and other recruitment and yield events.
Evaluates applications from assigned alphabet to determine admissibility to the College
Corresponds with accepted students, applicants and prospects as needed
Assists with the planning and implementation of on and off campus recruitment events (i.e. open houses, yield events, phone-a-thons)
Interviews and counsels prospective students and parents on the opportunities offered at the College
Manages assigned applications and communications within the office CRM system (Slate)
Other duties as assigned
A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Some admissions/recruitment experience required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Experience working with a diverse population, preferably within a higher education environment is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Slate/Technolutions and Microsoft Office Suite is also strongly preferred.
Access to personal vehicle and valid driver's license is required
Ability to work evening and weekend hours is required
