Job Description The Senior Manager, Stress Testing Execution manages aspects of TD Bank's regulatory and internal stress testing and forecast process in accordance with the stress testing and estimation approach frameworks. The Senior Manager, Stress Testing Execution forecasts TD Bank's investment portfolio, net interest income and hedge results utilizing quantitative and qualitative models and assumptions in a timely manner subject the effective governance. The Senior Manager, Stress Testing Execution works closely with other teams within TBSM and across the organization including Capital Management, Finance and Front Office in both Canada and the US.
Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Lead stress test execution for TBSM. This includes overall management and direction for the coordination of deliverables across TBSM and is the primary contact for TBSM's Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) process
Responsible for thought leadership in the securities and NII stress testing forecast including corporate development integration, accumulated other comprehensive income (AOCI) and certain aspects of net interest income forecasting
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including Capital Management, Finance along with US and Canadian based TBSM teams
Management of TBSM Stress Testing's model and estimation approach end state plan
Responsible for the identification and implementation of process enhancements as well as alignment with organizational stress testing initiatives
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
8+ years of bank or treasury related experience with progressing levels of operational and/or team management responsibility
Demonstrated skills in managing projects and influencing others
Demonstrated people management capabilities
Comfortable working with and assessing, quantitative projections and understand the drivers of changes
Strong Organizational Skills and Attention to detail
Must be organized and be able to help ensure the team meets deliverables on time. Responsible for a time constrained process; the ability to organize the team, find efficiencies and be accountable for results is a must
Organizationally agile with strong inter-personal skills
Required to work extensively with different stakeholder groups both within and outside of TBSM including senior executives across functional areas of TD Bank. Must be skilled at getting things done using both formal and informal channels
Experience working in capital markets, whether in the first line, or in a control role (second line) would be an asset
Prior experience in valuation, stress testing, modeling and forecasting a strong benefit
Knowledgeable in accounting for financial instruments, hedging and funds transfer pricing is a benefit
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple job demands, work under tight timelines and deliver accurate results
Familiarity with regulatory stress testing requirements, capital management and/or capital markets
CFA or progress toward the charter is a plus
