Gannon University, a Catholic University, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Athletic Trainer. Gannon’s athletic program includes 20 varsity sports, in which 18 sports compete at the NCAA Division II level. The successful candidate will provide preventative care, rehabilitation and athletic trainer services for all Varsity/JV home and away games and practices for intercollegiate sports. This position administers and organizes athletic training services for student-athletes; and participates collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the department and University, and collective and individual interest of its staff and student body. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine or a related field (master’s preferred); NATABOC certification; Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certification (or eligible), or eligible for Pennsylvania certification. Men’s and women’s basketball experience at collegiate level is preferred. A minimum of one year of athletic training experience is preferred.
