Northeast Community College, a Top 10 Nationally Ranked Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska is seeking a talented individual to to fill a key technical position within our Network and Infrastructure department. There is a wide variety of technologies in use at Northeast and we could use the right individual’s help in many of the exciting initiatives in progress.
Northeast encourages employees to apply their creative virtualization skills using our multi-site VMware and 3PAR storage environments while building and maintaining Windows and Linux servers. You will also have opportunities to work with Active Directory, IIS, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, O365, and Cisco networking equipment.
We are looking for an individual who can apply their 5+ years of systems administration technical expertise and knowledge of best security practices and methodologies to design, implement and support a variety of infrastructure and network equipment and their hosted solutions to meet customers’ needs.
The individual selected for this position must also work effectively in an enterprise team environment to ensure student success.
Alternative work hours may be required occasionally. Remote access and mobile communications devices are available as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years Systems Administration experience required; 5 years is preferred.
Demonstrated working experience with Windows 2008 and later operating systems, Active Directory, IIS, SQL, and Exchange or O365 is required; Linux and Cisco knowledge, or desire to learn is preferred.
