The Director of Recruiting leads the school's recruiting efforts and manages recruitment activities within the Recruiting and Admissions office. The Director of Recruiting determines the strategic direction and objectives of the recruiting department, which in turn supports the school's growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards.
The director leads the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition tactics and leads the evaluation of the entire recruiting function, strategies, and procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement. This position oversees full cycle recruitment in support of all MBA programs. S/he explores and implements practices that allow the school to attract top talent to the Rice MBA family.
The director also focuses on the integration of diversity and inclusion efforts as it relates specifically to recruiting top diversity candidates for the MBA program. This position ensures that our diversity efforts are assessed and in line to help the Jones School achieve national stature and be competitive with top 10 MBA schools in the country. Must be able to work with the Director of Diversity & Inclusion to ensure that recruiting efforts are in-line and complementary of D&I efforts.
Critical to achieving excellent results is the ability of the director to build strong relationships and deliver results in a rapidly and constantly evolving environment. The director must be able to establish and maintain a strong rapport with current and previous Jones School students, administration, faculty and corporate recruiters to promote the ideals of the school. This position ensures that all recruiting goals, set by the Executive Director and Deans of the school, are met.
