The Director of Admissions leads the school's admissions efforts to bring in and yield the best incoming class of students across all three MBA programs within the Recruiting and Admissions office. The Director of Admissions, along with Executive Director and the Director of Recruiting, determines the strategic direction and objectives of the admissions department, which in turn supports the school's growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards.
The Director of Admissions leads the evaluation of the entire admissions function, strategies, and procedures to handle the assessment of applications to ensure that all strategic targets and metrics are in line for each incoming class. The director is responsible for not only the admissions of students but helps oversee the yield of these students. The director oversees full cycle admissions process in support of all MBA programs. S/he explores and implements practices that allow the school to admit and yield the top most talent to the Rice MBA family.
The director also focuses on the integration of diversity and inclusion efforts as it relates specifically to admitting top diversity candidates for the MBA program. This position ensures that our diversity efforts are assessed and in line to help the Jones School achieve national stature and be competitive with top 10 MBA schools in the country. Must be able to work with the Director of Diversity & Inclusion to ensure that admissions efforts are in-line and complementary of D&I efforts.
