Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-CT Quality & Safety.
Make multiple site visits a week to all designated locations. Support hospital and Manhattan Imaging centers as needed. Identify QA training issues/opportunities via periodic QA/QC audits, translate quality findings into action plans and reports. May be required to rotate through all diagnostic imaging centers in different locations.
Coordinates and oversees Cat Scan examinations while teaching staff. Produces imaging with optimal quality and accuracy. Maintains patient safety at all times.
Work with Physicians and Technologist to develop methods of Quality assurance system wide.
Attend vendor-specific training sessions to learn advanced practice techniques in Cat Scan to include image quality/dose reduction and provide quarterly in 'service training throughout NYULMC imaging facilities.
Work with clinical and Research Departments to develop techniques that will promote the ability to publish articles, feature advances in Cat Scan Technology.
Takes responsibility for patient/personal radiation safety. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Support accreditation submissions/visits throughout enterprise Evicore, ACR
Work with and update Protocol Management tool. Understand all of the Cat scan protocols and equipment system wide.
Monitor dose data on Primordial dashboard and follow up with results of missing dose page and threshold alerts, updating dose metrics..
Support maintenance and monitoring DIR ACR Mapping rules and changes to series descriptions daily.
Support maintenance of JCAHO AMP tool reporting quarterly.
Assist with Hiring and onboarding of Cat Scan staff. Test technical knowledge and develop competencies for Training.
Five years relevant experience performing Cat Scan imaging.
Two years in a senior role.
Knowledge of Cross sectional Anatomy and related pathologic processes.
Able to remain flexible and function well with minimal or no supervision.
Ability to communicate well with Radiologist, Referring Physicians, and Technologists.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
