This position will provide program and administrative support for the CALS Academic Programs Office. The position has the following responsibilities: Providing assistance and quality customer service to undergraduate students and faculty. Ability to provide administrative support to the Academic Programs Office recruitment efforts including; developing marketing materials, scheduling student visits, room reservations, and registrations for recruitment events. Competent utilizing office software applications such as word processing and Excel. Utilizing web-based tools to update websites for the Academic Programs Office and for the Agricultural Technology Program, utilization of Banner student systems, process all applications for admission to the Agricultural Technology Program, compiling data and receiving and depositing application fees.
B.S. Degree in Communications, or in a major related to one of the CALS departments; or, combination of education and experience; Experience providing administrative support; Excellent communication and organizational skills; Experience utilizing office software applications such as Microsoft Office; Ability to handle confidential information; Ability to work independently; Experience using web-based tools for creating and updating websites; Working knowledge of relational databases; Experience with marketing, public relations, advertising, professional writing or related field.
Experience providing program support in an educational setting; Experience working with Banner.
