Providence is calling an Admissions Assistant (Health Information Management, Day Shift, Full Time) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. Position details: This is a full-time position with benefits (40 hours/week, 1.0FTE). Day shift (Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5pm). Occasional weekend coverage.
In this position you will:
Verify insurance benefits and eligibility on all new referrals.
Perform monthly verification of Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) coverage for long term Medicaid patients and weekly verification for capitated Hospice patients.
Assist in evaluation of documentation to determine if patient meets criteria for coverage of therapy.
Gather necessary information to assure accuracy and completeness of forms and reports.
Work with management and staff to correct omissions, errors, and office systems problems.
Requiredqualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferredqualifications for this position include:
One (1) year experience in medical office setting
Experience with reimbursement
Experience with verification of insurance benefits and authorization
Strong math skills
