Cyber Security Solutions Architect - Cyber Threat and Incident Response
You'll be responsible for the technical direction and success of a global team who detect and respond to cyber threats at Macquarie, as we build out a world class operation.
As the lead of a team of specialised DevOps engineers, you will utilise at least 5 years of solid experience in security design and architecture to provide strong technical leadership and direction to the programme. Working with key stakeholders within Cyber Security, you will define, evolve and deliver on the technology strategy that supports effective detection and containment of threats. This role is expected to be hands on - your willingness to get hands on when required is key to your success!
You will have an adaptable and dependable character, capable of dealing effectively with colleagues and business users working in a constantly evolving environment, across multiple countries, cultures and time-zones. Your written and verbal communication skills will have been proven to be of a high standard.
This role will participate in and be responsible for:
Technology authority and lead architect
DevOps delivery lead (player / coach), with a strong focus on mentoring junior members of the team
Input to commercial negotiation with new and existing suppliers
Technology strategy development and roadmap ownership, with input from the Global Function Lead and CISO
Continuous evaluation of new technologies and innovative techniques to solution delivery
Key skills requirements
Strong knowledge of IT security principles
Solid experience in design/architecture, preferably in a security context
Experience building automated tools in any of these languages: Python, Perl, PowerShell and/or Ruby
At least 5 years of well-rounded design experience in areas such as systems, network, and/or application security
Design experience with SIEM and log management platforms
Experience designing and implementing infrastructure and services in AWS
Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, LINUX, UNIX) with an in-depth knowledge of related tools and architecture
Experience working with big data technologies, (e.g. Hadoop, Cloudera, Apache Spark)
Experience working under Agile methodologies like Scrum.
A formal software development background would be viewed favorably
