Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree (preferably in a relevant medical field) and 2 years experience in a supervisory/administrative role in a medical setting required. Will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education (to include pertinent college level courses preferably related to a medical field) and experience.
Job Standard / Operational Needs: Serves as Day Shift Coordinator for laboratory specimen reception, order accessioning, labeling, delivery, report preparation, answering phone calls. Updates, reviews, and revises specimen receiving procedure manual in conjunction with the evening shift coordinator and supervisor. Responsible for majority of training for new staff and completes required documentation. Coordinate staffing, authorize time off requests, review employee entries, and complete variance reports. Monitors workflow and adjusts staff duties as volume demands.
