Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to and supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Quality Officer, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects in support of administrative, operational and quality initiatives for ColumbiaDoctors, the Faculty Practice of Columbia University. Responsibilities will include developing, coordinating and assuring all projects assigned from planning through implementation and successful completion.
The Project Manager will work as part of the ColumbiaDoctors administrative team and will serve as a liaison between clinical and business departments and the Faculty Practice Organization for all assigned projects. The ability to engage participants to fully participate in assigned projects is essential. He/she will work closely with the all of the analysts within the ColumbiaDoctors finance, operations) with a focus to identify and access appropriate data sources and analytics as necessary to support assigned projects. In addition the Project Manager will apply change management principles in the execution of all projects assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, effective team player with a strong service-minded work ethic. Experience interacting with all levels of faculty, management and staff; must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral skills. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times. Excellent customer service skills, office and operational experience. Ability to work within tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks effectively and manage assigned projects from beginning to end. Must be computer and internet literate with strong experience in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and knowledge of relational databases preferred. Familiarity with the University financial systems such as ARC is desirable.
