The Manager of Compensation & Benefits is responsible for planning, designing, implementing and evaluating all compensation, benefits and HRIS programs for the organization. The position develops a knowledge and database of best practices with respect to compensation, benefits, and HRIS delivery for the medical center. The creation of a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which is clearly communicated, readily understandable, and easily accessible, will be key to the success of this position.
Major Position Responsibilities:
Create a strategy to stay ahead of any significant pay market shifts and maintain the organizations competitiveness
Develop a system to minimize internal equity issues.
Continue to develop methods of improving benefits education and communication for employees.
Improve access of HRIS related reports/data for departments.
Provides direction and leadership in the management of compensation and benefits strategies, programs and practices.
Develops performance-based pay plans including performance measures and procedures to track program effectiveness and return of human resources investment.
Designs and implements incentive compensation plans, including eligibility requirements, funding mechanism, allocation methods and award targets.
Obtains support for the formulation and administration of compensation and benefits programs accordingly.
Develops and recommends compensation programs, benefit options and associated policies and procedures designed to meet the changing needs of the hospital and employees.
Re-evaluate all pay and benefit related policies and procedures for clarity and relevancy; promote consistent interpretation to ensure equitable treatment of all employees; proactively provide information to managers regarding compensation and benefits policy changes.
Monitors benefit consultants and other related vendors.
Ensure timely completion of evaluation by implementing user-friendly tools and mechanisms for managers; design a follow-up process to hold managers accountable.
Supervise Benefits and Compensation Rep positions.
Work closely with RFP process and benefits brokers.
